Circuit Breaker

As I am getting more into blogging and working out, I have noticed that my obsession for Pinterest is growing.  While it’s no secret that I frequent my “You would think I’m Engaged” board, I can comfortably say that my “Running/Workout” board is a close second for pins/repins.  Through establishing my “Running/Workout” board, I continuously come across different Circuit Training workouts that I am dying to try… or in other words, these circuit pins have pictures of bodies that any girl would want to attain.

For my first attempt at this whole Circuit Training thing, I saw the following pin:

Let me tell you, not now and most likely not ever, do I/will I look like the picture above (see pictures below). However, I am already feeling the affects of this Circuit.


Push-up face. Couch-crunches. Mid-jumping jack. 
To round out the night, I decided to go for a run.  As a result of my pre-run mini workout I was left with a little less energy than usual.  My body resisted the run, as I anxiously wished that bodies had built in circuit breakers to alleviate the shaky feeling I had everywhere.  Since I couldn’t flip a switch to make everything work normally again, I powered through a dramatically short run. 

Note to self: Do more Circuit Training… Second Note to self: Don’t do Circuit Training before going for a run…
