Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
I hope everyone has had/is having a great weekend! I’m in the midst of an endorphins overload/post- power yoga-“life is awesome” mindset. I’m trying to reel it in before I head to Hoboken for Super Bowl festivities so that I don’t lose friends in the process.
Today started off with a quick 4 mile run. Lately it seems harder to get through short runs than long runs. Personally, it takes me a couple of miles to get into a good groove so if I’m running a shorter distance I have a harder time feeling good through the whole run. I am starting to notice that my pace is getting a little faster though, which is keeping me motivated to stick to training.
Does anyone else struggle with maintenance runs?
Have you noticed that long runs or something else has improved your pace?
After running I changed into dry clothes, had a healthy snack and got ready to head to Prana Power Yoga with Ahnzie. I’ve been hearing/seeing a lot about Chobani’s new Banana Honey yogurt, so when I saw it at the new Duane Reade, I betrayed my CVS loyalties and had to purchase it.

Chobani and berries served as a great workout intermission and gave me enough energy to head to Yoga.
Ahnzie has been raving over Prana Power Yoga, so naturally, I’ve been dying to check it out. She’s much more dedicated to practicing yoga than I am, and she found out that on Sunday’s Prana Power Yoga Union Square holds Community Classes, that are by donation rather than the steep price that many NYC yoga studios have.
I feel like at this point, no one is going to be able to take my workout class opinions seriously because, similar to my reaction to SoulCycle, I LOVED Prana Power Yoga! I promise when I come across a class I don’t like, I will be honest, but so far it’s been two for two with these workout classes.
The other day I was reading one of my favorite blogger’s blog and she mentioned falling in love with exercise. Though I have fallen in love with exercise at a few different times throughout my life, I think this recent marathon training has really pushed me head over heels. Maybe that’s why every time I take a new workout class, or run another day, or do anything workout related, I get crazy levels of excited and happy. Or maybe, I’m just crazy. But either way, I like it. I’m happy to have fallen in love with exercise.
Now it’s time for some delicious Super Bowl food!
Tonight, I’m putting my running shoes where my mouth is and rooting for the 49ers!
What are you doing for the Super Bowl?
Who are you rooting for?

Any way, you sound exactly like me with how happy and excited you get with running/training. It's honestly such an incredible feeling for me that I never thought possible!
Of course! I really loved that post, and it got me thinking about how working out makes me feel.
I'm bummed that the 49ers lost, but they definitely made a strong attempt to turn it around after the blackout.
