This training cycle seems to be pulling out all the stops to keep me in the sporadic runner category. I’m not giving up yet, but considering that I sound like a pack-a-day anti-smoking campaign spokesperson when I speak, and I can’t breath when I’m sitting still let alone walking, it’s safe to say I’ve tabled running for the week. For now, I’ve self-diagnosed myself with Bronchitis via WebMD. But since this about sums up my experience, and since my future nursing career has come to a screeching halt for the time being I think I’ll let a real professional step in tomorrow morning.
Tonight it’s early (for me, still pretty late :-/) to bed, and not acting dramatic at all:

What’s your go to sick remedy?
Do you let being sick side-track your training?

oh no!! Get well, and SOON!
Sometimes, the phrase “sweating it out” really works for me..then, several other times, bed/couch + blanket and A LOT of sleep and fluids is the way to go.
Rest up!!
Thank you very much! I definitely agree with you about sometimes “sweating it out” and sometimes resting. I wish this were a “sweat it out” sick…nothing makes you want to run more than when you feel like you can't!
