Full Disclosure

I want to and prefer to be optimistic in all aspects of life, but lately, I’ve been feeling a little bit like:

In keeping with full disclosure (or some level of disclosure?), I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Kelly Cutrone would not have been happy with me today.

I didn’t want it to happen, but sometimes it’s inevitable, and whether you want to or not you’re going to reach a breaking point.  The good thing about hitting the bottom is it can only go up from there.

So today was not ideal, but tomorrow will be better.

And after a never ending day, I decided, while I wasn’t up to tonight’s full amount of training, I was up for abandoning my “all or nothing” mentality to do a quick, short run to shake off my bad mood. A quick 2 mile run is not a 4 mile tempo run, but it’s not nothing either.

I’m off to bed in hopes that tomorrow I’ll feel a little more

than I did today.

Have you ever reached a breaking point at work?

– Or –

Do you subscribe to and abide by Ms. Kelly Cutrone’s golden rule?

  1. I teach, so I hit a breaking point on the reg! I would venture to say that breaking points is simply part of the job. I know how you feel, and it is no good. Sometimes you feel like you just keep falling instead of hitting that rock bottom 😉 all you can do is try to stay positive and focus on the future.

  2. Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! I think staying positive and focusing on the future definitely helps to get through the bad days. I hope things get better for you soon!

  3. Thank you so much! I cried in the bathroom and all I could think of was when Katy ate her lunch in the stall in Mean Girls haha… I hope things are going well for you at work now!
